- New tie rod (knuckle to knuckle) - made from 1.5" OD x .250" wall DOM tube with steel bungs that we machine in house, and 7/8" shank chromoly heims, and our custom machined drag link mount.
- New drag link (pitman arm to tie rod) - made from the same materials as the tie rod, using the same heims, and all stainless steel misalignment spacers that we machine.
- Grade 8 fine thread bolts and locknuts to secure everything to your knuckles and pitman arm, without drilling - we machine tapered sleeves that slide into the knuckles and pitman arm that eliminate the need to drill anything. These have replaced our chromoly tapered bolts in mid-2021 due to material shortages, and the fact that the Grade 8 upgrade has been a great improvement for installers.
This fits all Ram 2500 4x4 trucks from 1994 to 2013
This fits all Ram 3500 4x4 trucks from 1994 to 2012
If you have a Mopar steering upgrade box on your 2003-2008 truck and are using the Mopar-supplied flatter pitman arm, you will need to select the 08.5-13 option instead of your year model. We have a shorter pitman arm bolt that works on the flat Mopar pitman arm better. If you have a drop pitman arm on the Mopar 08.5 box, then this does not apply to you. We're only referencing the pitman arm that comes with the Mopar steering box retrofit.
If you have a 2nd gen 1500 model, please see part number 1013-1500 for the correct linkage for your application.
If you have a 2013+ Ram 3500 and 2014+ Ram 2500 4x4 truck with the radius arm front end, we have a replacement steering kit available for those trucks separately on the site. Look up part number 1039.
This also fits the 2nd gen Ram 3500 cab and chassis 2wd trucks with a solid front beam axle.

Incredible !!
I had purchase the trackbar from DOR a couple of years ago and I thought that made a big difference in my steering but I put on one of there steering kits a couple of weeks ago and wow. Now with both the track bar and steering kit the front end is rock solid. I had to come on here and let everyone know this is the kit you need to buy.

4 year review
I've had this kit installed going on five years and it's been great. No slop in the heims. I've beat it up and it's kicking ass.

Pay attention to instructions
I was so excited for this purchase, after reading many reviews and looking all around for a replacement for my stock steering I thought this would do it. The kit seemed really great at first, and drove ok when I got it on, but it wasn't that much tighter than stock. I figured it was just the way steering should feel, but I called DOR tech support one day just to ask about it and they helped me get the steering lined up to remove almost all of the play that i had. It turned out that the shop who installed it didn't follow the instructions and had the tie rod angled down, so it threw off the drag link angle a bit, and that causes extra play in the steering wheel. Once I talked to DOR and got it set up the right way, I emailed pictures to verify everything was right and then I haven't had any issues since. I'm glad I took the chance to call because otherwise I probably would still have somewhat loose steering like before and just dealt with it! This steering really does have to be installed 100% correct or you can run into issues, so make sure to read the instructions and have your shop follow them too, then double check their work. Thanks DOR for helping me out!

Satisfied
Steering took some time to ship, about 5 weeks, so I wasn't real happy about that. But when it came in, I knew it was worth the wait, We ran into an issue during install where the drag link ended up being too long for my truck, I called DOR and they made a shorter one for me because apparently my truck has sagged a little up front (it's a 20 year old truck with factory springs, I should have known). There wasn't enough adjustment in the stock to 3" drag link so they made me one for a lowered application, which solved the issue. Truck drives straight down the road and feels very tight, I'm satisfied overall with my purchase.

Awesome Product
Installed this kit on my 1996 dodge ram 2500 and am very happy with it, along with the other products I have purchased from DOR. Extremely high quality - I don't know how anything could be made any beefier. Easy install too. Only issue I had was that my truck has a high-mount stabilizer, so I had to weld a couple of tabs on the axle to use the Fox 2.0 low-mount stabilizer. No big deal. Very happy with my purchase!

Top Notch Kit
I put this steering system on last summer after ditching my 08.5 "upgrade". Factory stuff is weak and doesn't last, especially if you're running 37" tires and an 8" lift. This kit bolted right in and took me less than an hour to get everything together. My truck is the one in the photos shown and I haven't had any problems to date. Just make sure to get the heims aligned to where they can rotate and move freely. This kit is heavy and strong, just what i needed. Dodge Offroad delivered and I couldn't be happier.

fits good, looks good, works good
After ordering the kit and patiently waiting a few weeks, I finally got it. Packaged really well, and I like how the hardware is pre assembled so it takes the guess work out of the install. The tube is very heavy, the welds look amazing, and the hex tube adapters make adjustments and tightening the jam nuts very easy. It all goes together really quickly and is easy to adjust. Works great on my bone stock truck, and now I don't have to worry about the junk factory steering linkage anymore. Dodge should just put this setup on the trucks at the plant lol

Wow!
I was one of the first people to get this kit back in early 2013, back when it used tie rod ends like a regular steering kit. Danny ended up changing to heim joints shortly thereafter and sent me a new kit to replace the first one, at no charge. First, the customer service has always been awesome. Second, the steering kit has worked great since I got it and I haven't had to touch it since installing two years ago. The stock stuff would have been worn out once or twice by now, so this was money well spent. I expect the heims to last at least a few more years, maybe longer.
